Bath Salts and Herbal Bath Bouquets

Bath Salts

Bath salts add trace minerals to your bath water, change how the water and any soaps in the bath water interact on your skin and gently cleanse the skin. There isn't much to using them correctly. Add 1-2 scoops to your water and let this dissolve. Stir to help them dissolve. Sitting on undissolved bath salts can feel like sitting on coarse grade sandpaper so stir well.

Herbal Bath Bouquets

The herbs in the bath bouquets will help you relax and rejuvenate your body, soothing, smoothing and hydrating your skin. Here are three ways to use the herbs.

1. Place 1/2 cup of herbs in a pot with one quart of water. Simmer the water and herbs, covered, for 10-20 minutes. Strain and pour into your bath water.
2. Half fill a teaball with herbs and pop it into your tub as the water is running. If you find that the herbs leak out and make the bath hard to clean, put an old stocking or sock around the teaball.
3. Put 1/2 cup of herbs in a washcloth, tie the top tightly with a string and either drop it into a pot of boiling water and pour both the water and the herb washcloth into the bath, or put the washcloth directly into the bath. They are sort of a pain to use, but they make your skin feel great when you do use them. Try it to see if it is worth it for you.
